Well - since you mentioned that - I've been getting a lot of emails from Classic Cinema Online viewers that certian movies and serials aren't loading or playing at all - and they're all ones that are being hosted by the archives. I've been meaning to ask about that because I have a lot of the old code on there and it seems that many - but not all - of those embedded using the old code aren't playing anymore - but I'm able to update those with the newer player code.

If the old code is no longer viable then I have some work ahead of me changing those embedded ones over to the new code. lol

I have been explaining to people that it's possible the servers are busy and to please try back in a bit, though.

Since I'm in the process of upgrading Classic Cinema Online I won't be able to measure any further progress until the upgrades are complete. It could be a few weeks - I have to completely rebuild Classic Cinema Online from the inside out. I kind of have a sneaking suspicion, though, that the new players will work better once I've finished that - the system I'm running on right now is a little on the ancient side. lol

Tracey - I've been trying to reply to your reply to my post but when I click to reply on your post the system doesn't recognize that I'm logged in - so I hope you see this because I'm replying here instead of there.

Anyway thanks for your reply - I'm still getting complaints - a viewer in Australia tells me the movies aren't loading for them.

I'm seeing they play for me - after a delay. Also, I think people are getting confused - they see that play button while the movie is trying to load and when they click on it it pauses the movie. Is there any way to change the image when the autoplay is set so that people know the movie is loading? Thx

hey there,
let me know if things are better now.
we think we're working properly now on the "main browsers" out there:

-firefox
-safari
-IE7, IE8, IE9
-chrome
-firefox v3.6
-iOS
-some android

still looking into seeing if still issues on Iceweasel (linux firefox) and PlayStation...

but at any rate, hopefully much more of the embeds and videos are playing now and your users are happier.

please let me know how everything is going...

My apologies for the delayed response - I tried responding to this earlier but kept getting an error message telling me I needed to log in to reply, and I WAS logged in. lol!

Anyway - I got a comment that some of the movies aren't loading for viewers in Australia.

Also, what I think is happening - many of these when they are set to auto load will show a picture of the "play" button while they're loading, rather than the "loading" image - so what may be happening is people are clicking on that play button which seems to pause the movie rather than load it, depending on which browser a person is using.

I tried to put a movie poster image in there but it won't show a poster and auto-load at the same time - is there a way to change that play button to a "loading" indicator when it's configured to auto load to avoid the confusion?
